Hi, I’m Kat and I am a painter and oil pastel artist. I primarily work with acrylic paint and oil pastels. I enjoy layering colors and building up texture in my work. I make art to visualize the ideas in my mind, bringing them to life and pulling them into the physical world. I strive to experiment and learn during my creative process
I am inspired by the impressionists along with digital illustration. Taking pieces from both I often aim for an impressionist feeling with a modern-day twist whether it be through the colors, mark making, or the subject matter. Overall, I try to have fun with my work and find joy in the process of creating.
